Everything You Need To Know About Gator Rock Bond In Under A Minute
In this short and sweet post, we’ll tell you everything you need to know about Gator Rock Bond in under a minute.
Use Gator Rock Bond to create a durable and decorative stone surface for pedestrian use! Available in a one gallon jug or as part of our Gator Rock Bond Kit, this product creates a permeable surface and is ideal for areas where erosion and/or drainage is a concern. Here are a few tips to keep in mind when installing Gator Rock Bond:
It must be mixed thoroughly with clean, dry stones—never poured over rocks already in place. (Note: The kit comes with washed and dried riverstone!)
A compacted crushed stone setting bed is still a must.
For best results, install in dry conditions with temperatures above 60°F and ensure no rain for at least 24 hours after application.
The mixture should be applied at a thickness of about twice the size of your largest stone (or approximately ¾” if using the kit).
When mixed at a rate of one gallon to 300–320 lbs of aggregate, coverage averages 50–60 square feet per gallon.
The surface will remain sticky for the first 24 hours, so protect it from dirt, leaves, and debris during that time.
