Why is my polymeric sand washing out?
If polymeric sand is washing out of the joints, it is most likely attributed to one of these factors:

Lack of compaction
Overfilled joints
Improper joint width
Poor drainage
Any of the above issues can compromise the joints and the integrity of the polymeric sand, eventually causing erosion or washout. Read more.
Can polymeric sand be applied in cold weather?
Yes, polymeric sand can be installed in cold weather but since it needs to be activated with water, you'll need to avoid freezing temperatures. Products like Alliance Gator G2 Polymeric Sand can be installed above 32°F (0°C) with dry conditions. A minimum of 15 minutes of dry weather is also required after activation in traditional application and 24 hours in overlay applications.
